1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Sleepmills websites, create an account, write in the private Dream Journal, request or purchase a service, receive a delivery, contact support, or otherwise interact with Sleepmills.
Sleepmills uses customer information to operate accounts, review and fulfill requests, verify payments, deliver private work, provide support, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Sleepmills does not sell personal information.
2. Information Sleepmills collects
Account information
This includes your email address, an optional display name, account-verification status, and security records. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords.
Journal and production content
This may include dream titles and writing, dates, feelings, symbols, tags, request instructions, sharing preferences, service drafts, delivered text, images, audio, video, documents, external media links, and messages you send to support.
Order and payment records
Sleepmills records the service, quoted amount, currency, PayPal order or capture identifiers, and payment status. PayPal processes payment credentials; Sleepmills does not intentionally collect or store your complete card number or PayPal password.
Technical information
Hosting and security systems may process information such as IP address, browser or device type, request time, pages requested, and error or security logs. Sleepmills uses a secure account-session cookie and stores your theme choice in your browser.
3. How information is used
- Create, secure, verify, and recover your account.
- Save your private journal and connect a chosen entry to a service request.
- Review feasibility, prepare a scope and quote, produce work, conduct human review, and place the finished result in your private library.
- Process and reconcile payments, refunds, cancellations, and disputes.
- Send necessary account, quote, payment, delivery, and support communications.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose errors, maintain backups, and improve platform reliability and usability.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.
Sleepmills does not currently use private journal content for targeted advertising.
4. Service providers and production tools
Sleepmills relies on providers that process information to perform specific operational tasks. These may include Vercel for the website and private media storage, Render for the application server, Neon for the database, Resend for transactional email, PayPal for payment processing, and Google Workspace for controlled internal production and review.
Depending on the requested service, Sleepmills may also use modern AI or media-production tools to help draft, analyze, narrate, illustrate, or assemble work. Only information reasonably needed for production should be provided to a tool. Human review determines what is delivered. Providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Sleepmills may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect customers or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business reorganization. If the business is transferred, customer information may transfer subject to this policy and applicable law.
6. Retention and security
Sleepmills keeps account and customer content while needed to operate your account and provide the requested service. Transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, audit, backup, and legal records may be retained longer. Backup copies may take additional time to expire after active records are deleted.
Sleepmills uses measures such as HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords and one-time account tokens, private storage, role checks, and verified payment events. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact Sleepmills promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing info@sleepmills.com from your account email when possible. Sleepmills may need to verify your identity before acting.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for completed transactions, security, disputes, legal obligations, or the establishment or defense of legal claims. Deleting content may also remove access to associated private work. Sleepmills will explain material limitations when responding.
You can change the site theme from the interface. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking the account-session cookie will prevent login. Transactional account and order messages are part of the service rather than marketing subscriptions.
8. Children
Sleepmills is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. Sleepmills does not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact Sleepmills so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
Purchases and service agreements must be made by an adult who can enter a binding contract. An adult requesting work intended for a family should avoid submitting unnecessary personal information about a child.
9. Policy changes and contact
Sleepmills may update this policy as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may be communicated through the website or account email when appropriate.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to info@sleepmills.com. See Contact & Support for account and service help.
